When You Can't See What You Wan't to Be...

When You Can't See What You Wan't to Be...

A question that I get asked almost everyday is what are my plans after graduation.  It's terrifying to think that in just a year and a half, I will be graduating and entering the workforce.  I won't be in a college setting anymore, surrounded by a bunch of people who are equally as optimistic about the worlds offerings as I am.  Often I wonder what will change.  Will I suddenly become a different person once I receive my degree?  Will the world be clearer and easier to navigate, or will I just become better at dealing with the worlds issues?

My outlook on the future and my ideal career changes as often as my style does, and if you are an avid reader of this blog you know that my style is constantly shifting.  This constant change makes it hard for me to clearly describe to others what I want to be.  People pick celebrities, famous entrepreneurs, and other social figures to use as reference points, but that isn't necessarily any easier for me.  The big question is, If there isn't already a title for what you want to be, and you can't think of anyone who has already 'made it' to compare yourself to, what do you do?

Be the first...

The most inspiring advice that I have received as of late, is simply to create whatever you can't see.  Be the first to ever do it, and don't look back.  You may have to make a few more mistakes, and serve as an example or test dummy to others, but in the end it will all be worth it.  I have decided to create who and what I want to be.  On the way there I will go after every good opportunity that comes my way, and use my gifts and talents to the best of my ability.  I challenge you to create everything you wan't in your life, but can't yet see.  Oh, and don't forget to wear a dope outfit while doing so!

Outfit details below!

For this look I wanted to mix classic pieces with some of my current favorites.  I opted for a high-waisted black pant, paired with a hounds-tooth Tommy Hilfiger button up and a classic London Fog Trench Coat.  My black leather carry-all is by Fred Perry, and my crisp white sneakers are from express!  On the path to self-creation, don't be afraid to mix the old with the new, the typical with the unusual.
